Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls with professionalism and urgency
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to help reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility issues as assigned
• Complete work orders accurately and document repairs, parts used, and completed tasks
• Assist with installations, adjustments, and minor upgrades to facilities and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Coordinate with supervisors, vendors, and team members to ensure timely resolution of issues

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related hands-on technical role
• Working knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems
• Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs efficiently and accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift, move, and operate tools, equipment, and materials as needed
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts, if required

Preferred Skills

• Experience with preventative maintenance programs or computerized maintenance systems
• Familiarity with general facility operations and safety standards
• Basic troubleshooting skills across multiple trades
• Certifications or training in a maintenance-related field

• Serve as a go-to resource for community teams and portfolio leadership.
• Research new resident amenities, activities, and loyalty programs that can help add value to your community and drive incremental revenue.
• Ensure the Community Manager feels totally confident leaving you to run the community during absences.
• Manage resident communication initiatives, effectively identifying and sharing meaningful information.
• Assist with all programs and processes for each phase of the resident lifecycle from lease signing to renewal, including rent collections/posting
• Inspire your community colleagues to continually strengthen resident event strategies. Enhance marketing and social media strategies
• Follow and enforce delinquency protocols to decrease overall delinquency.

Experience:

• 2+ years of customer management experience in multifamily or management/customer service in a related field
• Strong background developing and implementing marketing campaigns (knowledge of marketing preferred)
• Demonstrated sales and customer service expertise
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and analyze data
• Yardi experience a plus

Job Responsibilities:

• Interact with the residents to identify, diagnose, repair, and resolve electrical, plumbing, A/C, and heating systems, appliances, stairs, railings, gas fixtures, carpet, tiles, and flooring issues.
• Correct any unsafe conditions like open holes, broken glass or gates, broken lights, etc., and immediately assign the work to the ready staff to ensure completion of work on time.
• Schedule preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and ensure that they are in good working condition.
• Manage inventory of supplies and spare parts to complete work orders as requested.
• Work on-call shifts/schedules to assist with both resident and property emergencies.

Experience:

• 1 year of experience in multifamily facilities services or related field
• Ability to contribute to resident satisfaction by performing basic maintenance of your community
• Demonstrate a desire to excel, learn and perform and work as a team
• Yardi experience a plus
